Adventures in Cooking; Katie's Sweet and Salty Best “Party” Mix Eva

Everywhere I take this amazing mix, the crowd raves. So I thought I would publish it...
It is a process, its the combination of a more classic "Chex Mix" and a Carmel mix. I make them in 2 batches, Salty and Sweet then I mix the 2. (making a double batch of both is highly recommended. You will be amazed how awesome it is and how fast its GONE!!!)

SALTY Batch

Ingredients

3 cups Corn Chex
3 cups Rice Chex
3 cups Wheat Chex

3 cups Pretzels

6 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Preheat oven to 300°F

Melt butter in microwave.

Add seasoning salt, onion powder and garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce. Mix.

In a LARGE bowl combine cereal. I leave the pretzels out until the end so they are plain and do not have seasoning on them. You could mix them with the cereal and have them seasoned.
Pour butter mix over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
Lay on large baking sheet bake 15-25 mins at 300°F stirring occasionally.
Mix in pretzels and you have the salty batch. (You can also add peanuts, bagel chips, goldfish)

SWEET Batch

Ingredients

3 Cups Pretzels
3 cups rice Chex
3 cups corn Chex
1 box Honey Graham Ohs Cereal
1   cup butter (2 sticks)
1   cup packed brown sugar
1/3   cup corn syrup
1   tsp baking soda

Preheat oven to 300°F.
In mixing bowl, combine pretzels, and cereal
(I leave the Ohs out separate); set aside.

Combine butter, brown sugar and corn syrup in sauce pan. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Continue to cook without stirring 3 minutes. Remove from heat; carefully stir in baking soda.

Pour caramel sauce over cereal/pretzel mixture; stir until evenly coated.

Spoon onto large baking sheet; bake 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from oven. Transfer to large piece of parchment paper. Cool completely, breaking mixture into clusters as it cools.

Add the Honey Graham Oh's Cereal, mix, and you have the sweet batch.

Mix the two batches together and you have the best mix eva.
